Gal is 7 weeks old today and about 10 pounds. She studies everything around her. When you talk to her, she will have a conversation with you in baby language or she will smile back. She is putting her hands in her mouth and doing lots of smacking. When you put her toys on her face, she will try to taste them. Gal absolutely loves her paci and will sometimes hold it all by herself. Today the paci fell out of her mouth and she tried to put it back in, but her hands are not quite coordinated enough. After several attempts, she got frustrated and cried.
I have been taking her on long walks to get her outside, but she usually falls asleep.
This past weekend we took her out to her first restaurant, the Tavern, to meet up with some friends to watch some football. She was great, slept the whole time.
Gal was still waking up every three hours until Tuesday...after the advice of many, we fed her rice cereal in her bottle before bedtime at 10:30. It was a miracle, she slept for 5 hours. It seemed that she was not satisfied with just formula and the cereal did the trick. Apparently, it is also supposed to be good for acid reflux which she is already on medicine from the doctor for. I know that it is going against 'the rules', but it is working great for us...baby happy, we are happy.
