Gal's first Chistmas was so much fun. It was wonderful spending lots of time with family. Luckily, everyone is pretty close by. Daycare was closed for the week of Christmas, and Greg and I had to work every day except Christmas Day. On Monday, I dropped gal off at Lolly's house, and she kept her all by herself, bless her. Gal is a handful. Tuesday, I again droped her off at Lolly's house, and Pa and Mimi came into town from Blakely, GA, and helped keep gal with Lolly all day. Christmas Eve was on Wednesday, Greg and I went to the Dunaway's house once we left work. We spent the evening having dinner and opening presents. Gal received wonderful gifts from everyone. One of the gifts that Pa and Mimi gave gal was a Baby Einstein Exersaucer. She loves playing in it and it entertains her for a while, alone.
Squaw gave gal money which we are starting a savings account with. Aunt K got gal this adorable little dog (the Today's Show voted it one of the top toys for babies). It rolls across the floor and makes noises. It is supposed to motivate the baby to crawl and follow it. The bottom is touch sensitive so when touched it will move. It has a bendable back, so you can make it go into circles. It will be a great toy once gal starts to crawl.
One of gal's favorite gifts that Lolly and Pops gave gal is the bear rug. It is extremely soft. She lays on it and runs her hands on it. She sleeps on it. She mostly sat in her pappasan chair and watched everyone open presents. Mommy will be glad next Christmas when she can open her own presents. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve at the Dunaways!
Oh yes she can, on Christmas Eve, Gal fed herself an entire bottle!
On Christmas Day, we traveled to the Q's in Clanton. We had a huge lunch and spent time with Grandma and Grandpa. Uncle Will and Aunt LaDonna came up from Montgomery. They will find out the Gender of Baby Q on January 15th. They gave gal a great toy frog that sings night songs, and you can press the hands or feet to make noises and sing songs. She enjoys it. Grandma and Grandpa gave gal a game by VTech. It is a game she can play with now and when she gets older will hook up to the TV to play interactive learning games. Granny Great mailed her some presents to open. She gave her several outfits and made her a beautiful blanket. It is a cream color and with pink ribbon on two edges. Clearly, I need to post a picture soon since I am horrible at describing it. The day after Christmas, Mom and Dad had to go back to work, so she spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma said that she talked all day long.

gal's first Christmas was such a joy and we look foward to many more. She racked up presents from Santa and will be on her best behavior this year so he will visit again.
