Updates

Greg recently found out that he has 3 stress fractures in his legs. Ouch! He has been working so hard on improving his running and then this. The good thing is he is able to run in the pool at the gym. It has also allowed him to swim again. He is such a good swimmer. I am glad that he is following Doctor's orders and staying off his legs. I think it is a good change for a little while.

Last Friday evening, gal was running a fever and already had a cold. It was the first time, she did not want to eat. She has always been a good eater. We gave her some motrin and watched her through the evening. She woke up, fever gone, playing normal, but still had a cold. Saturday afternoon it was such a nice day so we decided to get out. Greg, Grandma, gal and I went to the Moss Rock Festival. We had a great time walking around and looking at some art. Gal had a great time playing in the grass. I got sick that evening vomiting...and no it is not what you are thinking. I recovered.

Monday, I was carrying gal to her classroom at school and my foot slipped. Down I went, face foward. My first instinct was to protect gal. As I was falling, I moved my hand to the back of her head, all my weight went onto my left knee. And I continued to fall foward with her in my arms. Once on the floor, she looked at me and began to scream b/c she saw my face of horror. I was so worried that I bumped head. I sat on the floor, just holding and loving on her. The teachers were all right there to help. A doctor was also right there (one of the kid's parents). We all checked her out. I put an ice pack to the back of her head and stayed with her for a while. She was okay and wanting to go and play with her friends. I don't think her head ever hit the floor. I went over to check on her later in the day and she was fine.

I began to get sick Monday afternoon. My throat was hurting, had a fever and my body began to ache.

Tuesday morning, I went to the Doctor. He said that I have a sinus infection...I have never had a sinus infection where my body has hurt so bad. I had a fever, sore through and I told him it fells like I have the flu, you would think he would have tested me for the flu or even strep throat. Oh well. All I can do is rest and try to get better.

Tuesday afternoon, I took gal to her 15 month check up.
weight: 21 lbs 10 oz. - 30 %
height: 31 1/4" - 70%
head circ: 18" - 45%
The doctor said that she is developing great and everything looks great. He checked her head and saw nothing on her head from our fall. She does still have her cold and has just started an ear infection. So, again on antibiotics. She received all of her shots, cried for a minute and then was fine.

Then to top off the day, our roof is leaking. So, it has been quite a week so far and it is only Wednesday.

Today is Veteran's Day. Gal and Greg don't have work or school. I am still sick so Greg kept gal this morning and Lolly canceled her afternoon engagements to take care of gal for a few hours.

To all Veteran's, we thank you for your service and protecting this great country!
